Duncan Carmichael is proud to support Samaritans’ Feel Good Friday, on Friday 1st February by contributing a proportion of fees for treatment to charity. WebHealer is supporting Samaritans for the second year in a row, encouraging and helping therapists throughout the UK to take part in the fundraising day.
For every treatment carried out a proportion of fees will be donated to Samaritans. More information is available at www.duncancarmichael.net. Duncan Carmichael said: “Although each contribution is small, collectively we can make a big difference so I am very pleased to be lending my support to Samaritans this year. It is really important that Samaritans vital service continues to be available 24 hours a day. I will be donating £3 for every Alexander Technique lesson I give on Feelgood Friday (!st February 2013). The Ilkley Healing Centre, Nelson Road, Ilkley." Why Feel Good Friday?
- Every year, Samaritans answers 5 million calls for support from people across the UK and Ireland
- Samaritans’ 20,665 volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days to help people struggling to cope.
- The charity needs £10 million a year to run their life-saving service
- £3.83 pays for one call to be answered by a Samaritan
- £100 allows the charity to recruit 5 new volunteers
- £1,000 keeps Samaritans’ service running for 12 hours
- Feel Good Friday is sponsored by healthcare provider Simplyhealth
